Gold Refining at Amesa Limited.

Gold refining at Amesa Limited is a critical stage in our value chain, transforming mined ore from the Luika Gold Mine and Singida Gold Mine into high purity gold that meets international market standards. Our refining process is built on precision, safety, and strict adherence to ethical and environmental principles.

1. Ore Processing and Concentration

Once ore is extracted from our Tanzanian mines, it undergoes:

•    Crushing and milling to reduce rock size

•    Gravity separation to recover free gold

•    Flotation or leaching to extract gold from complex ores

This stage produces a gold rich concentrate ready for refining.

2. Smelting and Doré Production

The concentrate is smelted to remove impurities and produce doré bars, typically containing:

•    60–90% gold

•    Silver and trace minerals

These doré bars form the foundation of our refining operations.

3. Advanced Refining Techniques

Amesa Limited uses internationally recognized refining methods to achieve high purity gold:

•    Electro refining for precision purification

•    Chemical refining (aqua regia or chloride processes) to remove residual metals

•    Thermal treatment to stabilize and finalize purity

Our refined gold consistently meets 99.5%–99.99% purity, suitable for:

•    Bullion production

•    Industrial applications

•    Jewelry manufacturing

•    Export into regional and global markets

4. Quality Assurance and Certification

Every batch of refined gold undergoes:

•    Spectrometric analysis

•    Purity verification

•    Compliance checks with global standards (LBMA aligned practices)

This ensures our clients receive gold that meets the highest benchmarks for quality and consistency.

5. Responsible and Ethical Refining

Amesa’s refining operations are guided by:

•    Environmental stewardship — safe chemical handling, waste treatment, emissions control

•    Community protection — strict safety protocols and training

•    Ethical sourcing — full traceability from mine to refined product

•    Sustainability — minimizing ecological impact and maximizing resource efficiency

6. Strategic Importance to Amesa Limited

Refining is not just a technical process; it is a strategic capability that:

•    Strengthens our supply chain

•    Enhances product value

•    Supports regional economic growth

•    Reinforces our reputation as a trusted African gold producer
